Il lavoro di Federica si muove tra fotografia documentaristica e sperimentazione sonora, con un approccio visivo che si nutre di osservazione, ascolto e immersione nei contesti.

Per la Gallery, l’artista ha presentato DIGGING & MINING & MINING & DIGGING, indagine condotta interamente attraverso Google Earth alla scoperta delle miniere e delle cave più imponenti del pianeta, tradotta in una installazione di trittici, con mappa orientativa per il visitatore. Nessuna offerta Ryanair, nessun interregionale in ritardo, nessun bus senza biglietto: da sola davanti allo schermo del computer, ha esplorato coordinate geografiche remote, trovando siti di estrazione mineraria, tanto spettacolari quanto inquietanti.

Le immagini che derivano da questo viaggio virtuale mostrano l’altra faccia dello sfruttamento del suolo: paesaggi trasformati in scenari di una bellezza disturbante, dove l’estetica della deformazione rivela le ferite di deforestazione, inquinamento e perdita di biodiversità.

Nei suoi occhi si leggono curiosità misto noia, ironia misto disincanto, felicità misto incazzo: un insieme di tensioni che attraversa sia nella vita che nel lavoro, localizzandosi in un linguaggio visivo attento e onesto.

Federica's work moves between documentary photography and sound experimentation, with a visual approach that feeds on observation, listening, and immersion in contexts.

For the Gallery, the artist presented her investigation conducted entirely through Google Earth, to discover the most impressive mines and quarries on the planet, translated into an installation of triptychs, with an orientation map for visitors. No Ryanair offers, no delayed interregional trains, no buses without tickets: alone in front of her computer screen, she explored remote geographical coordinates, finding mining sites that were as spectacular as they were disturbing.

The images resulting from this virtual journey show the other side of land exploitation: landscapes transformed into scenes of unsettling beauty, where the aesthetics of deformation reveal the wounds of deforestation, pollution, and loss of biodiversity.

In her eyes, one can read curiosity mixed with boredom, irony mixed with disenchantment, happiness mixed with anger: a set of tensions that she experiences both in her life and in her work, expressed in an attentive and honest visual language.
