E’ finalmente giunta l’ora di concentrarci su Johanna Invrea e la sua armatura ceramica.
Sublime assemblaggio anatomico di pezzi unici in porcellana e terracotta smaltati presso la Bottega Vignoli di Faenza, con il tocco speciale di questo storico laboratorio al femminile. Il primo passo sarà la sua azione performativa, in scena Sabato 6 Settembre ore 21.30 come evento collaterale della programmazione di Made In Italy, la mostra mercato della ceramica italiana.
Illuminato solo dalla luce di una torcia, il corpo si trasforma in strumento. Ogni movimento sarà collegato ad un sistema di microfoni nascosti, amplificando in tempo reale i suoni prodotti dalla corazza, indossata come se fosse un guanto dalla nostra eroina. Un’esperienza dove la forza delle Amazzoni, donne guerriere per eccellenza, si scontra ad ogni passo con la fragilità del materiale ceramico. Vestita con la sua opera, Johanna attraverserà lo studio dell’artista Luce Raggi con una camminata elegante che è quasi una danza, fino raggiungere lo spazio della Another Fucking Gallery, dove la scultura verrà posata a fine performance e resterà in mostra per tutto il mese di Settembre.
L’opera sfida le parole, ma tentar non nuoce. L’elmo è una delle prime forme di difesa personale per proteggere l’incolumità, quello della performer è intarsiato in porcellana bianca, sul petto un bustier già iconico, poi il ventre munito di una coda che è un sogno ad occhi aperti, vertebre collegate con ingranaggi metallici arricchite da vero crine di cavallo.
Ai piedi il pezzo magico, due stivali dalle sfumature del bronzo, del verde e del blu, quasi alati, enfatizzati da tacco alto e punta ispirata al modello giapponese Tabi, tradizionali calzini nipponici dal XVsecolo, poi consacrati al mondo della moda grazie all’esordio in passerella del 1988 nella collezione dello stilista Martin Margela.

The work defies words and reveals its full expressive power only when observed live. The helmet is one of the earliest forms of personal defense to protect safety. The performer's helmet is plastered in white porcelain, with a terracotta bustier on her chest decorated with chrome reliefs and porcelain appliques, then a abdomen equipped with a tail that is a daydream, composed of vertebrae connected with metal gears, enriched with real horsehair.
On her feet is the magical piece, two boots in shades of bronze, green and blue, almost winged, emphasized by high heels and toes inspired by the Japanese Tabi model, traditional Japanese socks from the 15th century, then consecrated to the world of fashion thanks to their debut on the catwalk in 1988 in the collection of designer Martin Margela.
