Paul Boese è un fine osservatore che si integra silenziosamente con l’ambiente circostante. Per lui disturberemo dai tomi di filosofia greca e più recentemente di critica letteraria contemporanea, il concetto di mimesi, intesa come imitazione della forma ideale della realtà. Ha vissuto Casa Raggi durante il suo Erasmus presso l’ISIA - Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche di Faenza - realizzando dentro queste mura una serie di acrilici su tela sospesi tra realismo e astrazione. Combo piccante che lo descrive anche come persona, con un background legato al mondo dei graffiti in dialogo costante con la sua essenza di designer. Bombolette vs righello. 

Queste opere sono assolutamente inedite, perchè fisicamente confiscate e secretate dalla padrona di casa Luce Raggi, con la promessa dal sapore di minaccia che le avrebbe riviste solo se fosse tornato per mostrarle negli spazi della Another Fucking Gallery. Titolo della mostra: NOTAUSGANG, termine tedesco che suggerisce la ricerca di un’uscita di emergenza, sia fisica che metaforica. Con questo stato d’animo, Paul ha lavorato su forme amorfe composte da reti metalliche e bende gessate decorate ad aerografo, che si presentano come ponti sospesi per le sue opere pittoriche.

Paul Boese is a fine observer who silently integrates himself with the surroundings. For him we will disturb the concept of mimesis from tomes of Greek philosophy and more recently contemporary literary criticism, meaning imitation of the ideal form of reality.  He experienced Casa Raggi during his Erasmus at the ISIA Faenza - Institute for Artistic Industries, creating within these walls a series of acrylics on canvas conveying realism and abstraction. A spicy combo that also describes him as a person, with a graffiti background in constant dialogue with his designer essence.  Spray cans vs ruler. These works are absolutely unpublished, because they were physically confiscated by the hostess Luce Raggi, with the threatening-sounding promise that he would only see them again if he’d returned to show them in the spaces of Another Fucking Gallery. 

Exhibition title: NOTAUSGANG: German term suggesting the search for an emergency exit, both physical and metaphorical. Following this state of mind, Paul is working on amorphous forms composed of wire grids and airbrush decorated plaster bandages, that appear as suspension bridges to his pictorial works.
